Acupuncture for Pain Management
For those living with chronic or acute pain, relief can be an arduous road that can include medication, surgery, physical therapy, as well as acupuncture.

Acupuncture has been successfully used to treat pain for over 3000 years and is an accepted healing practice to restore and maintain health.

Integrative Med Solutions is an advanced center for natural medicine and acupuncture founded by Dr. Fred Lisanti.  Our philosophy is whole-patient wellness where we coordinate care with you and your physician in a true team approach.

Acupuncture is the insertion of thin, sterile needles into the body that coincide with meridians and points that can regulate and balance how the body functions.  It is a safe and effective therapy that can be used in conjunction with other treatments or on it’s own.

Studies have shown that acupuncture has a significant and effective impact on pain. By increasing local blood flow to stagnant areas, nutritionally rich proteins can effectively reduce inflammation thus increasing one’s range of motion and reducing pain. Recent studies using magnetic resonance imaging MRI have demonstrated these positive impacts.1

The National Institute of Health (NIH) and World Health Organization (WHO) recognize acupuncture as a safe and effective therapy that can be used alone or as a complement to other treatments. Research shows that acupuncture is an effective means of relieving pain due to:

  • Musculoskeletal injuries (low back pain, neck pain, joint pain, etc.)
  • Headaches (migraine, tension)
  • Arthritis (osteo and rheumatoid)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

At Integrative Med Solutions, we will design an acupuncture treatment program that works for you.  In many cases, insurance covers portions of the treatment.
