Shoulder and Wrist Pain
Shoulder and Wrist PainCommon diagnoses that can create this dual problem may include shoulder impingement and rotator cuff tendonitis or tear, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, digit sprains, arthritis or fractures and dislocations. Often anti-inflammatory medicine is the first attempt from a conventional perspective but at Integrated Med Solutions (IMS) multiple approaches may be administered at one time. Starting with acupuncture: as well as integrating a list of anti-inflammatory foods to immediately apply will start your body’s path upon a naturopathic experience and healing from within.

Acupuncture: for Shoulder and Wrist Pain
The unique acupuncture: skills of licensed acupuncturist and naturopathic physician, Dr. Fred Lisanti, can be immediately beneficial when applied to a shoulder and/or wrist confrontation. This application is possible in the beginning, acute stage or for the chronic, nagging tenderness felt occasionally or on a daily basis. It is the universally accepted integration of hair-thin needles into specifically chosen points throughout the body that can actually release or impede stagnant, stuck energy. It is similar to adding or removing rocks to or from a flowing or sluggish river. In the case of shoulder and wrist pain, painless needles are often applied to and around the joint. Pain anesthesia could result from needles in the ears, hands or feet. Whether it is an injury that occurred within hours or a year long struggle, after one acupuncture session many have reported significant improvement. However, one treatment is not a cure-all and should be approached on a weekly, or in some cases, twice weekly session.

Clinical Nutrition:
Among other approaches that may include nutraceutical supplementation, detoxification and homeopathy, the clinical nutrition program at IMS will teach you specific foods to add or avoid that can very well reduce your pain and joint inflammation. This Anti-Inflammatory Diet is more of an adjustment than a diet and consists of avoiding dairy, wheat, soy, and night shade vegetables to name a few. In addition, adding anti-inflammatory rich foods or nutraceutical supplements such as tart cherry juice, bromelain (a pineapple derivative) or turmeric will enable you to make more responsible choices simply by choosing what to eat.

Acupuncture and a full spectrum of Dr. Lisanti’s expertise, is a first step toward personal healing and growth. This naturopathic approach will not allow your shoulder and wrist pain to interrupt your quality of life.
